NEW ORLEANS REUNION 2013

Association Membership

It’s easy to join your shipmates in this association where the emphasis is on friendship, memories, new adventures and keeping the legacies of the USS CONYNGHAMs (DD-371 & DDG-17) alive.

Your membership will entitle you to receive our quarterly newsletter, The PRIVATEER, with information on upcoming reunions, articles on past reunions, letters from shipmates, naval news, CONYNGHAM deployment histories, naval humor, shipmate death notices and many interesting features.

Membership also qualifies you for participation in the reunions held annually in various cities throughout the country.  If you click the Newsletter link and read the article, Recap of the 2013 Reunion, you will have a good idea what we do at each reunion. There are tours, many of which are either naval or military in nature. Other tours often relate to local area attractions.

We also enjoy many reunion events such as the welcome reception and buffet, hospitality suite, Plank Owners and Captain’s dinners, final night banquet with keynote speaker, and farewell breakfast. Reunion cities are chosen for their unique environments such as jazz and Bourbon Street in New Orleans, casinos in Reno, Civil War battlefield and history in Gettysburg or naval presence and beach activities in Virginia Beach. Attending members select locations for future reunions. There are separate charges for reunion attendance, hotel, travel and tours, but it makes a great vacation with shipmates and spouses, old friends and new.

So sign up now. All you have to do is click on the "Join Now" link, complete and print the application form, and submit it to John Barone, Association Treasurer, along with the current annual membership dues of $17. Once John receives your membership application and processes it, you will be provided a receipt for your membership fee and a membership card.

Questions may be directed at any of the officers listed on the Officers page of this website.
